Week Five: “Don’t Take my Kindness for Weakness”
The trainers wake the students with an air horn. Booker T. says “Get your ass on the field.” An obstacle course is set up for them, which includes traffic cones, a heavy bag that will be carried up a hill, and doing a crab walk. It was fairly intense, as even Luke, who considers himself in “pretty elite shape” amongst the rest of the group, was getting winded.
“And now…we get to train,” says Bill Demott as they complete the course. The group walks into the gym and to their surprise, Rey Mysterio is waiting for them in the ring as this week’s special guest trainer.
A Rey video package airs.
Rey gives a speech about team work and overcoming his smaller stature. This is foreshadowing for the “life lesson” later in the show.
Time for a drill. Competitors must lift a heavy weight bag up to their shoulder and body slam it. This’ll be done ten times by each student. Bill DeMott says to the group, “You and that bag are now a team.” To me that sounds like Bobby Heenan describing marriage between two humanoids.
During the training, they cut away to Austin, who says that week after week, Martin impresses him. Ryan is back to being called “Skidmarks,” thus learning first hand that stipulations mean nothing in WWE. He trips over the ring ropes as he enters, and Bill Demott goes into full on dickhead mode and says, “Out! You can’t even get in the ring like a man!” Ivelisse is being showcased a little more this week. She struggles to lift the bag, but the group, along with the trainers, cheer her on and she rises to the occasion. Later, she gets hurt doing a leap frog spot with Christina, as Christina didn’t get up high enough and landed on her. A medic is called in and Ivelisse says her hamstring went out. The move was definitely botched, but it was a combination of Christina screwing up and Ivelisse’s leg going out simultaneously. And M-Dogg Matt Cross got cut? Sure, you can instruct wrestling and can’t teach charisma, but these girls will need a ton of work. Or implants.
Ryan (“Skidmarks”) messes up in the ring, and Bill Demott says Ryan is a danger to himself. It’s looking like this may be Ryan’s last week judging by the editing up to this point in the show.
Trish shows up at the mansion later to talk with Ivelisse and Christina. Trish says to them, “You guys are looking like the weaker sex.” She basically says they both need to get over the injury. Trish says that it wasn’t done on purpose so Christina shouldn’t be taking it out on herself (which she didn’t appear to be doing) and that Ivelisse needs to suck it up, because as Trish says, all Divas get injuries. Later, Christina is portrayed as a bit of a heel, rolling her eyes and saying that Ivelisse’s injury just needed to be iced.
“Life Lesson” time with Booker T. and four-time NBA champion John Salley.
A John Salley photo montage airs with Steve Austin doing the voice over.
Salley explains that he brought 15 of his friends to help teach the Tough Enough competitors about teamwork.
Yes, it’s time for basketball with dwarves! Do you think this is part of the curriculum at Lance Storm’s Pro Wrestling Academy?
None of the dwarves are referred to as “vanilla midgets.” “The Statesmen,” as the team of dwarves are billed as, smoke the Tough Enough contestants, 36-15. We’re told this isn’t just any dwarf basketball team, but a “world ranked” team. Ivelisse is shown favoring her injured leg.
The next day at training, Booker says, “You guys sucked as a team Certain people in here, I’m going to make it a point to put my foot in your ass if you get out of line, and I think we know who I’m talking about.” Ryan (“Skidmarks”) is stretching during this, not showing any respect, rolling his eyes, and Booker snaps, lifting Ryan by his shirt and telling him not to test him, and not to mistake his kindness for weakness.
“Three’s a Crowd” is the official drill this week. They run a sequence in the ring, in groups of three. When they screw up, they’re eliminated.
Some notes on their assessment: Austin says Martin has become a ring general. All the trainers are impressed with him.
“It’s pretty hard to tell today who sucked worse, Christina or Ivelisse,” says Austin.
“I think “Skidmarks” did better than Luke” says Bill DeMott. Austin notes Luke’s lack of “coachability.” Ryan’s hokey mannerisms get him eliminated from the drill. A.J., someone who gets about as much TV time as Zack Ryder, is eliminated as he’s gassed, leaving Martin as the winner of the skills challenge. That’s three weeks in a row for him. Luke is pissed again by the results.
The trainers convene to pick their “dreaded bottom three.”
Christina, Ryan, and Luke are in this week’s bottom three, as Austin says they’re going to have a “Come to Jesus talk.” Hopefully it’s more affective than the “Come to Jesus” speech Kevin Nash is known to give.
In a clip, Luke describes Ryan as the cockroach of this competition, and says whoever gets pulled into the bottom three with Ryan gets eliminated while Ryan himself always manages to survive.
And it’s time for the best part of the show each week…Austin’s “go-home” promo. The bottom three are in the ring with Austin and they’re each making a plea to avoid being cut. It’d be great if we were able to watch every WWE Superstar do this before getting future endeavored. Austin attempts to motivate Christina, saying even though she has a background in dancing, he can do a better leapfrog than her. He asks Luke, who apparently shops at the same formal wear store as the Miz, if he thinks he’s too good to be here, and Luke says he hasn’t had a bad day since he got here. Luke is pretty damn good as the cocky heel. Luke informs Austin that he’s been doing this for four years and was trained by “Mr. USA Tony Atlas.” I might consider leaving that one off my resumé. Austin asks Luke if he’s “arrogant or just an asshole” and Luke says he’s neither. Ryan says he feels he’s improved, but admits he’s failed to impress the judges just yet, as he’s trying to break old habits. Ryan throws Christina under the bus, saying he doesn’t believe she wants to be here. Austin says Ryan has been in the bottom three for the third and last time, as he’s “just struck out.” Austin says, “Ryan, I’ll see you on down the road,” and wishes him the best of luck. Ryan vows he’ll make it someday.
WWE RAW: Kharma Destroys Another Diva
Posted by: | Comments
Here it is from Monday RAW, WWE’s Kharma destroys another Diva – this time it’s the lovey Maryse – who isn’t doing so lovely here!
WWE Monday Night RAW TV Report – May 2, 2011
Posted by: | CommentsThe show began with a WWE 9/11 package. Lilian Garcia sang the national anthem getting a big response from the crowd. Rock came out and referenced Bin Laden’s death saying “We got him”. He played sing-a-long with the crowd and said the pledge of allegiance. He told some jokes about his life and said he was ready to party. Rock was about to close the segment until Michael Cole popped up with a message from the RAW GM. Rock and Cole went back and forth with Cole unveiling a Kevin Garnett jersey for cheap heat.
Michael Cole came into the ring and got the Rock Bottom for his actions.
Guests Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Kimmel, Paul Walker, Samuel L. Jackson, Steve Carell, Ellen DeGeneres, Dan Marino, Ludacris, George Lopez, Regis and Kelly, LeBron James, and Craig Ferguson wished Rock a happy birthday.

Jim Ross came to announce with Lawler & Josh Matthews.
R. Truth jumped John Morrison as he was making his entrance for a match.
Maryse fought Kelly Kelly to a no contest when Kharma’s music hit and she came to the ring. Very, very slowly. Kelly sat in the ring scared. Kharma let her go and went after Maryse giving her the implant buster. The only move of the actual match was a horrific looking Bulldog by double K
The crowd reacted well to Kharma and she has great music and presentation. I wouldn’t have her take quite this long to come out, though. There’s of course a positive to building anticipation for her destroying the other women, but there comes a point when you’re moving so slowly that people who haven’t seen you before are going to assume you’re unathletic and immobile.
Backstage, Miz asked Alex Riley why wasn’t he at ringside for his match at Extreme Rules. Riley said something about the Draft. Miz said his personal services contract takes precedence over the draft. Miz told Riley to be at ringside for his match. Next was Rock backstage talking to Vladimir Kozlov, Santino Marella, Hornswoggle and Great Khali all dressed up as Dwayne Johnson movie characters. Ron “Farooq” Simmons observed the scene and gave a ‘Damn’. It should be noted that Simmons
John Cena beat Miz via DQ to retain the WWE title.
Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston beat Jack Swagger and Drew McIntyre. After the match, Alberto Del Rio, who was doing commentary, hit the ring after the match but was knocked out of the ring by Rey.
Backstage, Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero said they know Rock likes pie and got him a gift. It was Mae Young. Rock said Vickie will never be as beautiful as Mae. Rock gave Mae a long kiss on the lips. John Cena then came in. He said that now he has the title and he will keep it until WrestleMania. Cena vowed to keep it through WrestleMania and told Rock he will have to go through Cena to get it. Rock told Cena to bring it.
Kane beat Mason Ryan aka David Bautista Jr. via DQ. Punk then just ran in for the DQ. The commentary was more exciting. Lawler made a comment that Ryan had more muscles in places than people “…had places.” Matthews said ‘Wow, that’s the first time you’ve used that line’. Ross chimed in. “Trademark 1999.”
After the match, the other Nexus guys ran in. Kane fought them off and went for the choke slam but Ryan pulled off Kane’s hand and gave Kane the side effect. They played that up big. Big Show went to make the save and fought off all the Nexus guys until Ryan laid him out too with a spear.
Rock came out for the final segment where Vince McMahon came out and wished Rock a happy birthday. He also thanked Rock for his contributions to WWE and congratulated him on his successes in general. We then got a cool video package on the Rock to end the show.

What are your thoughts on WWE Extreme Rules 2011?
Layla vs. Michelle McCool in a loser leaves WWE match.
Who can believe that Team LayCool, once thought of as a team incapable of imploding, are going at it! Well, it’s happened and the loser of this match must leave the Layla used a crucifix pin for the victory. Kharma then came to the ring. Cool ring music and entrance presentation for Kharma, the artist formerly known as Awesome Kong. McCool was shocked. Kharma used a double arm suplex dropped into a facebreaker as her big move and then they played her monster music. All the women were shown backstage all freaked out seeing her. Hell, I would too. WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winner: LayLa
Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes in Falls Count Anywhere Match
Mysterio got the win after a 619. After the match, Sin Cara enters the ring and says that he was brought into the WWE by Johnny Ace to replace Rey Mysterio. He said his real name is Mistico and he was going to rid the WWE of Rey ‘Old News’ Mysterio. Mistico then flies away to his music. WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winner: Rey Mysterio.

Randy Orton vs. C.M. Punk in a last man standing match. I tell ya, Randy Orton and CM Punk has been going at it for quite a while. Orton’s taken out all of Nexus leading up to Wrestlemania and did the same of Punk at the grand stage of ‘em all. CM Punk came to the ring wth Nexus but the anonymouse RAW General Manager ordered that Nexus have to leave the ringside area. Really good match with both men taking alot of big hits. CM Punk’s back was all welted from kendo stick shots before the finish. Very good opener. This would have been easily the second best match at Mania. Both men kicked out of each other’s finishers. Orton got the victory. Crowd was very into the match.
WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winner: Randy Orton
Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger & Michael Cole
WWE Hall Of FAmer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler went to the back to get prepare for his match with Jim Ross & Michael Cole. Did you know that the ‘Big Four’ WWE draft additions to Friday Night Smackdown are The Great Khali, Sheamus, Orton and Sin Cara. WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winners: Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian for the World title in a ladder match Christian is the master of the ladder match, but Alterto Del Rio has something most WWE Superstars – his personal ring announcer. Unfortunately for Del Rio, that wasn’t enough. This was a great match that saw Christian coming out as champion by climbing the ladder. Edge and Christian celebrated together. Crowd went nuts. They werewere really into the idea of Christian winning the title with Edge there to celebrate with him. WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winner: Christian
The Miz vs. John Cena vs. John Morrison in a cage match for the WWE title
R-Truth did a run in. After laying out Cena and Morrison, he climbed over the top with the idea he symbolically showed that he ‘would have won the title’ if he wasn’t taken out of the match. Good match here with John cena coming out victorious and becoming a double digit (10 TIME) World Champion. Congrats to John cena! WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Winner: John Cena WWE Champion at WWE Extreme Rules 2011

This Week In Sports Entertainment – WWE & Wrestling News
Posted by: | CommentsHere’s a look at the most recent wrestling news that everyone is talking about!
CM Punk has been offered a new long-term WWE contract, but has not signed as of press time. Could he be leaving the company when his current contract expires in a few months?
A source close to WWE was quoted with the following;
“When you look at how the company brands it’s characters, Punk is never among the top 5-8 names that are promoted or pushed. It’s Cena, Orton, Miz, Undertaker, Rey, now Alberto, etc. these days and Punk is sort of floating right under there….”
He added...”He’s just there, doing his job and while everyone knows he delivers, he’s never really treated like someone who does. He’s never dropped the ball but we don’t give it to him really, either. He’s treated like a guy, but not THE guy.”
Many feel that WWE Diva Beth Pheonix has been drafted to RAW in an effort from the company to keep Punk happy, and have him sign the contract. CM Punk and Beth Pheonix are a couple, you know. Punk’s possible departure from WWE later this year has been one of the main topics of discussion behind the scenes this week. The two are reportedly a serious couple.
– Randy Orton commented on being drafted to SmackDown! on Twitter.
“Well it’s bittersweet for me to be drafted to Smackdown…I’ll miss monday nights, that’s for sure, but I think I could use the new setting.”
– Rey Mysterio commented on being drafted to on Twitter, too:
“Really hope everyone enjoyed the draft tonight! Gonna Rep Raw now! I’m gonna miss all my SmackDown FANS”! 1 luv & god bless to all! 619Out!”
Bret Hart’s speech on WWE Tough Enough was slightly edited with the terms ‘wrestling’ and ‘wrestlers’ being censored in his speech.
The WWE Hall of Famer tweeted about his speech saying “The main points I said were to never hurt yourself or your opponent and to never forget the fan inside you that was sitting in the stands.”
In a somewhat related issue, — Daniel Bryan’s new shirt features the term “Submission Wrestling”. Perhaps it will be soon changed to “Submission Entertainment.” Kidding. But, seriously, it could happen.
Cody Rhodes recently spoke in an interview with Marvel.com, here are the highlights…
On Mysterio Dressing As Captain America For WM: For the most part, it was a complete surprise. I know he’d mentioned to some people that he had intentions of dressing up in comic book form this year and I had a lot of assumptions about who it could be, but I didn’t know he’d be Cap or that the costume would be so close… I’ve seen Rey in many costumes over the years, so I think it’s cool that all these years later I’m wrestling Captain America.
On His WM Ring Gear: Yeah, my jacket was supposed to be more Mister Sinister themed, but as the designer got to work on it, it became more “Assassin’s Creed” themed, which was also fine by me. At one point there was this huge diamond in the waistband but it was too much, a bit too close to the Sinister vibe. We could never get the jewel to work, but the diamond is still there in rough leather form if you look closely.
On His Mask: Well, here’s a little known fact, because in the world of entertainment things do get misconstrued: one thing that legitimately happened was my broken nose. It was a horrible thing that ended up being a great thing in terms of my career. I had an idea where I wanted to take it but I looked online and saw Rip Hamilton, from the Detroit Pistons. He had the exact mask I wanted—I even went to the same doctor who molded his and had it cast to my face, allowing you to still see my face without obscuring my features. It actually was much more clear when I started but WWE fogged it up a bit, which makes it look cool especially when the lights bounce off.
We love the Cody Rhodes mask.
Jim Ross may have suffered a legitimate broken hand at WWE Raw. JR wrote the following on Twitter:
Hand’s throbbing. Xrays tues. Cole’s tooth went to the bone on my fist. Not an artistic masterpiece. Dropping bombs. Leather straps sun. Ugh
Yes, Jim Ross is injured. The announcer with Bells Palsy! Ok then.

Big Show and Kofi Kingston won a battle royal. They started the show with this match in progress. Show then threw out the big MasonRyan to end the match.
This led to the first draft pick of the night, John Cena. Cena was drafted back to RAW by the end of the night. Miz interjected and reiterated that he will see won’t see Cena until Extreme Rules!
R. Truth came out with no music and did a really good heel promo that set the crowd off into a ‘What’ frenzy. Unlike most wrestlers who don’t acknowledge the chants, which have not gone away since Austin retired over 7 years ago, Truth got angry at the crowd for the ‘Whats’.
Morrison jumped Truth from behind. Interesting that he let Truth go on for about 10 minutes, though.
Throughout the show they ran adverts saying next week will be The Rock’s birthday party on RAW. Really, I’d say it’s the biggest birthday party in the history of birthdays and the history of parties. This week’s Awesome Kong vignette showed her face clearly and debuted her new name of Kharma.
Eve Torres beat Layla. They went about 20 seconds before the end of the match and Michael Cole interrupting talking about how he needed to go train for Jim Ross. Eve rolled up Layla for the win. Lay Cool fought each other on the outside after the match with an upset Layla getting the best of it. They should just destroy the Diva’s division. Oh wait, that’s what WWE’s Kharma is for.
Rey Mysterio was drafted to Raw. Cody Rhodes backstage said he would give Rey a going away present – a new mask that Rey can wear to the hospital.
Kofi Kingston beat Sheamus. Sheamus was in control until he accidentally ran into the post. Gotta watch out for those posts here in America, laddy! Anyway, the next move was Randy Orton drafted to Smackdown.
Jim Ross beat Michael Cole via DQ. Eventually, Cole went for a body slam but BBQ man fell on him and threw punches down on Cole busting busted open his hand and Cole’s lip. It was nice to see Cole bleeding from the mouth.
Cole ran to the outside but Lawler threw him back in. Swagger took out Lawler and ran in for the DQ. He applied the ankle lock on Ross and Cole whipped Ross with a belt. Lawler made the save and whipped Cole with the belt a couple times before Cole ran away. Josh Matthews – i mean, The GM announced a tag team country whipping match for the PPV. Miz backstage said he will keep his title and that if he is drafted to Smackdown, Raw will be cancelled.
Randy Orton beat Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler used a neck breaker, fireman carry and dropkick. Orton came back with clotheslines, a power slam and an Angle slam. He went for the RKO but was distracted for a moment by Vickie Guerrero. He regained his concentration and hit the RKO for the pin. Punk interrupted the pick announcement to basically say he’s wrestling Orton in a last man standing match at the PPV without actually saying that. The match was worth two picks and Mark Henry and Sin Cara are headed to Smackdown.
Rey Mysterio beat Wade Barrett. They showed Del Rio backstage talking to Ricardo Rodriguez about his destiny and blowing off Brodus Clay.
CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and Miz beat John Cena, Christian and Mark Henry. Miz gave Cena the skull crushing finale and got the pin. They then announced the final pick, which was Cena returning to Raw. Cena attacked and laid out the heels.
