We spotlight Ludvig Borga, a former WWF wrestler and Finnish politician Tony “Ludwig Borga” Halme who was recently found dead in his home. He had just turned 47. At this time no criminal investigation is ongoing, and no cause of death has been determined.

We here at The Wrestling Page are saddened on the untimely death of former WWF wrestler Ludvig Borga. No crime is suspected and no further details were given. Halme also known as “The Viking” for his 6-foot-6 (195-centimeter) stance was a heavyweight boxer, pro wrestler and bodyguard in the U.S. before joining politics in Finland.

Halme Finnish parliament in 2003-2007 for the small radical True Finns Party.

Borga was trained by the brainchild of the AWA, Verne Gagne and wrestled at such organizations as the Universal Wrestling Federation, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Catch Wrestling Association and the World Wrestling Federation. Borga’s most notable WWE accolades include competing in the main event of the 1993 Survivor Series, ending the WWE undefeated streak of Tatanka. He also defeated Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Championship at a house show (though the decision was later reversed due to interference from the Heart Break Kid)

Borga also competed on the Finnish version of American Gladiators, competing under the name “Viikinki”. This man was a true athlete

The Wrestling would like to pass along our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Ludvig Borga.
