TNA Releases Jim Cornette
Posted by: | CommentsTNA recently released Jim Cornette. Cornette was an agent as television. This move, looks to be another move in removing everyone who is close to Jeff Jarrett.
If you don’t know, Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle have butted heads in a big way in TNA. As a result Jeff Jarrett was removed as Vice President of TNA Entertainment, or at least the lessening of his influence within the company. Jeff and his father, Jerry Jarrett founded TNA back in May of 2002.
Also, there’s been a big push from the head of TNA Dixie Carter for a change in direction after relying on the guys from the 1980s has not lead to a significant increase in TV ratings (though TV has been much better in recent weeks).
In tribute to Jim Cornette here is a classic promo from WCW. Followed by another 1993 promo for his very own Smokey Mountain Wrestling. He’s a great treasure - hopefully he will end up as colour commentator for WWE!

Christian’s Returns to ECW
Posted by: | Comments
Well, as Matt Stryker said during Christian’s return to the WWE ring on ECW recently, “ECW just got instantly classic!”
There are alot of people that question Christian’s return to WWE being to ECW. But, c’mon! No, no seriously. Did you really thing that the giant ball of EGO that is Vince McMahon would allow Christian to just waltz back into a top spot in the WWE after LEAVING for TNA several years ago? Let’s look into why Vince did what he did regarding Christian, and what we may hope for the future of Captain Charisma!
Why Didn’t Christian Return at the Royal Rumble w/ Edge?
Well this is what most people expected, and a good part of the reason why it didn’t happen. Vince McMahon is known to change his mind about 100 times a day regarding angles and such. So, of course, when he learned that much of the internet fans were ready and salivating for the Christian return at the Rumble, he switched gears. Originally, as expected, Christian was going to be the guy that was responsible for all of Jeff Hardy’s ‘accidents’, leading up to his world title lost at the Rumble. This would’ve linked Christian back up with Edge and put him right into the Main Event status - a level he had not reached when previously in the WWE. But, of course, no. We can’t have that happening. Too predictable.
Christian returned from ‘The Minor Leagues’
Again, Vince’s Ego. Do you REALLY think a “wrassler” can come in from TNA and be on top in the WWE? NO WAY! The WWE is full of “SUPERSTARS!” A plain ol’ TNA “wrassler” needs to work his way up to SUPERSTARDOM. Especially if he left the land of SUPERSTARDOM before! It’s kinda like how the WWF goofed up the invasion angle b/c of Vince’s ego. Kinda like how they goofed on using Eric Bischoff and the NWO, since of course, that was not a WWE-original.
Edge is married now
Hello? Edge is married now. We all no that once your best buds get married they don’t want to “hang out” anymore. No more concertos. No goofin around. No 5 second poses for the benefit of those with flash photography. Those were the rebel days.
What do you think of Christian’s return to WWE?
